Motivation - I don’t make it a chore, no coaches, no programs, no strictness, the moment it becomes a chore the moment it’ll become a burden. Remember we don’t get paid to do this so keep it fun and interesting.
Proud Moment - Running the 2016 and 2017 Boston Marathon with my vision impaired friend Stephen, finishing a marathon is one thing but helping someone who can’t on their own is another.
Tips - Enjoy the atmosphere, settle in for the ride and we’ll do the rest.
Running Highlights - This run will be my 25th full marathon race.
Favourite Running Moment - When an octogenarian ran passed me on a full marathon race a while back. I realised there is no excuse.
What keeps you motivated - The consistency required for training, the running statistics and the run itself.
Chris Hughes | Pacing time 240min
PBs - 5K-19.19 . 10K- 41.08 Marathon 3.24
Running Highlight - Despite the debate, triathletes are runners too! and although I have lots of just running moments, hitting that red carpet at the end of Ironman was something I will always hold as a highlight
What keeps me motivated - the ability to eat more if I run, but also I really enjoy pacing. I paced Canberra marathon last year, as well as a few other half marathons, even half a dozen park runs. Helping people hit their goals is great, having a group to talk to for four hours is better. hope a lot come along for the chat!

Gilbert Gaddi | Pacing time 270min
PBs - 49 minutes on a striders 10k race at North Head
Motivation - If I don't run at the rate that I'm eating, I can become as big as an elephant.
Proud Moment - Being able to finish and pace a few people at the 2017 Gold Coast Marathon when we are all hurting was a proud moment for me.
Tips - Relax and leave the timing to us! We will go quicker for a few seconds going up the hill so we have enough time to relax and turn the legs quick on the downhill. Also, if you don't like my taste in pop music, prepare to run faster.
